Hello there! I’m Amy Andrus (née Gross), a designer passionate about empathy-powered products.

My creative background is in detail-oriented fine art–I’ve practiced traditional art conservation and reproduction in Italy, and have scientific illustrations on exhibit in the San Diego Natural History Museum. I enjoy working through the small details that add to the bigger picture (but in a less literal sense now that I’ve taken a step back from the canvas). I also have professional experience in education and customer experience, which led to my greater understanding and empathy for users.

I first fell in love with UX/Product Design while advocating for users at The Knot Worldwide. From there, I happily jumped down the rabbit hole–I’m now devoting my time to solving problems at Precoa, focusing on empathetic design for people dealing with loss.

When I am not designing, you can find me cycling or hiking around my city, weather permitting. During the rainier days, I’m inside finding inspiration in great stories, either with a nice book or a fun video game.
